About the Role

This is an opportunity to join a major, high-profile project delivering a brand new manufacturing facility, bringing together international businesses and future-focused industries. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of the project, ensuring strong cost control, contract management and financial performance throughout. You will work closely with project leadership and play a key role in maintaining profitability and managing risk.


The key responsibilities for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role are:

• Manage contract administration and ensure commercial compliance across the project
• Liaise with subcontractors and manage commercial relationships
• Provide advice on contractual matters and risk management
• Support pricing and management of variations
• Monitor project costs and support cost control activities
• Prepare monthly cost reports and financial forecasts
• Assist in procurement, tendering and subcontract management
• Measure quantities and support valuation processes
• Contribute to monthly reporting including work in progress and final account forecasting
• Support the wider commercial team in delivering project objectives


Experience required for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role are:

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or equivalent
• Proven experience operating at Quantity Surveyor or Senior Quantity Surveyor level
• Strong experience working under NEC contracts (NEC3 or NEC4)
• Excellent commercial awareness and contract administration knowledge
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to manage workload independently and meet deadlines
• High attention to detail and strong analytical skills


Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Senior Quantity Surveyor role are:

• Experience working on large-scale construction or infrastructure projects
• Exposure to complex, multi-disciplinary schemes
• Strong stakeholder management experience
