About the Role

You’ll join the commercial team as a Senior Quantity Surveyor, supporting the delivery of major water and wastewater projects across Scotland. Working on a high-profile long-term framework, you will manage contracts, oversee subcontractor performance, and mentor junior staff while ensuring compliance with NEC standards.

Key Requirements

  • Administer NEC contracts, raising and managing early warning notices.

  • Identify, notify, and price compensation events.

  • Produce or support CVRs and P&L reports.

  • Manage subcontractors from tender through to final accounts.

  • Review subcontract quotations and place orders.

  • Check time-sheets and staff allocations across work packages.

  • Agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor (or similar) within a civil engineering or utilities contractor.

  • Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contract management.

  • Background in utilities, water, rail, or highways sectors.

  • Skilled in assessing and paying subcontractor applications.

  • Ability to mentor and develop junior commercial team members.

Desirable Knowledge / Skills

  • Experience working in alliance or joint venture environments.

  • Familiarity with CEMAR.

  • Exposure to high-volume, low-value work packages.
