Senior Planner – Suffolk – Civils & Groundworks

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Planner to join a well-established subcontractor specialising in groundworks, remediation, drainage, highways, and reinforced concrete structures.

Our client is currently seeking a skilled Senior Planner to support a major civil engineering and infrastructure project based in Suffolk. This is a 6-month rolling contract, Outside IR35, with the potential for long-term work on future developments across the region.

Package offered for this Senior Planner role:

  • £400 - £475 per day, depending on experience

Key responsibilities for this Senior Planner role:

  • Developing and maintaining detailed project programmes using Primavera P6 or Asta Powerproject

  • Working closely with project teams to ensure programme feasibility and integration with construction operations

  • Producing progress updates, reporting against key milestones

  • Analysing delays and forecasting potential risks to timelines

  • Supporting pre-construction and tender planning activities

  • Liaising with clients, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure smooth communication of planning information

Experience required for this Senior Planner role:

  • Proven background as a Planner or Senior Planner in the civil engineering sector

  • Proficiency in Primavera P6, Asta Powerproject, or similar planning software

  • Strong understanding of groundworks, drainage, highways, and reinforced concrete

  • Excellent analytical and communication skills

  • CSCS Card (required)

  • Relevant construction or engineering qualifications preferred
