OLE Construction Manager

Coatbridge, North Lanarkshire
Salary / Benefits:
£50,000 - £60,000 plus car allowance & Package
Company Information:
Working for a leading European supplier for railway electrification. The company group is active in the business segments Rail, Products and Energy.
Seeking candidates with:
- Experience in supervising OLE projects and operatives on the projects.
- Minimum 3 years as an OLE Construction manager with experience in management type roles ideally within the railway industry and on OLE projects.
- Valid PTS and ideally OLEC 5 competence.
- Computer literacy including various software programmes.
- Willingness to travel and to learn and open minded for new technologies.
- Experienced being responsible for projects reporting in accordance with client requirements.
- Producing reports to include design and site progress, identification of critical resource elements, lost time delays and accident reporting.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team and support as required.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Full driving licence and vehicle.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
- The ability to stay calm and meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel to different locations as and when required.
Responsibilities
- Site management of all aspects of OLE projects to ensure they are delivered safely, to programme, to the required standards and within budget.
- Co-ordinate with Construction Managers/supervisor to ensure that daily works reports are fully completed for each shift and are submitted as required.
- Close and frequent communication with OLE engineers and supervisors and Construction Managers to relay information.
- Meet and communicate with clients representatives (Construction Managers, Site Managers, Engineers etc.) to ensure their projects are delivered to their satisfaction.
- Organise and roster staff to meet the various projects requirements.
- Ensure that "for construction" project specific drawings and specifications are used.
- Ensure OLE materials in advance to meet project programme and report any shortages to Depot and Stores Manager.
- Ensure that site teams have the required level of protection staff i.e. COSS, machine controller, look out etc.
- Ensure that all tools / plant and equipment required are available and where applicable are tested with certificates.
- Work to project specific risk assessments, work package plans and task briefing sheets at all times.
- Ensure that you give a briefing to all your staff regarding the work to be carried out including the content of risk assessments, work package plans and task briefing sheet.
- Ensure all hand back activities have been undertaken
- Ensure all work is completed with the site teams
- Complete ITP ( Inspection Test Plans) QTS ( Quality Tick Sheets) in conjunction with the Project Engineer after all work activities
