Job Role: Senior Core Network Engineer
Location: Milton Keynes/Irlam/London - Hybrid
This is a great opportunity for a Senior Core Network Engineer to work with a reputable Telecommunications company helping them to rapidly scale and maintain their network.
As a Senior Network Engineer, you will be responsible the client's full active network, including MPLS and Ethernet technologies, ensuring solutions are delivered efficiently and securely.
Key Responsibilities for this role:
- Ensuring accurate solution recommendations are given to both internal and external business requirements.
- Serving as an SME within Core Network Engineering and on the active networks.
- Agile cross-functional collaboration when leading projects, ensuring best practices are adhered to
Key Requirements for this role:
- 10+ years' experience working in an ISP, Service Provider or Carrier environment
- Extensive background in an Engineering or Design capacity
- SME in network engineering, especially in MPLS and multi-vendor-based networks
- Experience with producing technical documentation for the full design lifecycle (HLD/LLD)
- Must have a good understanding of Layer 2 and 3 technologies (Ethernet, MPLS, TCP/IP etc)
- Experience with Juniper and Nokia operating systems.
- Programming skills (e.g. Python), Software tools (e.g. Splunk, Ansible) and DWDM/Network Monitoring and Security are highly desirable
- CCISP certification
Package:
- Indicative salary of up to £80,000 + package.
- Permanent, full-time role.
- Hybrid, 2 days per week in either the Milton Keynes, Irlam or London office.
