Senior Health & Safety Advisor 

Summary

A leading player in the civil engineering and infrastructure sector is currently recruiting for a Senior Health & Safety Advisor to lead health and safety excellence across various civils projects including a major bridge crossing project in Oxfordshire and a multi-billion-pound, state-of-the-art battery manufacturing facility near Bridgwater, Somerset

You will be an experienced Senior Advisor or a Manager within the Rail or Highways sectors. You will have experience working within major projects, with the ability to communicate effectively with the client. The project will be focused on Earthworks, Structures, Rail, Highways and Civils. This role will support two high profile projects, therefore 3 days will be required in Oxford, and 2 days in Bridgwater, Somerset. Those two days include commuting, and the client will pay for accommodation for over night stays.

As a Senior Health & Safety Advisor  you will ensure compliance with all legislative and corporate standards while driving the coordination of Safety Management Systems, risk assessments, audits, and stakeholder requirements.

To be suitable for the Senior Health & Safety Advisor role you will have:

-    Relevant health & safety experience in Construction / Civil engineering..
-    NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Safety & Health, or equivalent.
-    A qualified internal health & safety auditor with demonstrable experience of completing internal audits. Lead Auditor status beneficial but not essential.
-    An understanding of the requirements of BS OHSAS 18001:2007 and experience in facilitating registration surveillance visits.
-    A working knowledge of current and impending health & safety legislation
-    Good presentation, written, analytical and IT skills.
-    Training and presentation experience throughout all levels of an organisation.
-    Good interpersonal skills with the ability to guide and educate/train at all levels

Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum plus package including:
