Senior Engineer
Location : Newcastle, Tyne & Wear
Engagement : Freelance (Outside IR35)
Rate : £300/day
This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer to join a main contractor who specialises in heavy civils to work on their projects in Tyne & Wear.
Our client is looking for a Senior Engineer to join them on their major highways project. This is a 6 month contract, Ltd Company, with the opportunity to extend the contract beyond 6 months.
The client look for experienced candidates for their Senior Engineer roles who are able to work autonomously and under their own initiative. You will ensure that the works elements under your control are delivered to the correct quality and in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner. Working collaboratively with the wider project team to deliver successful project outcomes.
Key responsibilities for this Senior Engineer:
Reporting into the Senior Agent
Supervise the works to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are maintained
In conjunction with the engineers and surveyors, ensure all setting out is present and correct before work starts and mentor the Junior Engineers as required
Experience required for this Senior Engineer role:
Civil Engineering related qualification (HNC, HND, BSc MSc, BEng, MEng)
Successful experience at a Site Engineer level
SMSTS and relevant CSCS Card
