Senior Electrical Project Engineer - Renewable Energy

Summary
Due to ongoing success and growth in the renewable energy sector, our client, an employee-owned high voltage electrical engineering company specialising in electrical power infrastructure, grid connections and renewable energy generation is looking to hire an Senior Project Electrical Engineer
As a Senior Electrical Project Engineer you will be responsible for managing the technical electrical design interfaces, technical procurement and production of quality processes across a diverse range of electrical HV projects in line with business strategy.
Duties and responsibilities of the Senior Electrical project Engineer include:
- Provide exemplar project management throughout the project life cycle including internal and external resource to ensure project goals and customer expectations are met
- Communicate with manage, mentor and coach project engineers, providing advice and guidance from initial concept to completion
- Organising and attend all project briefings and meetings with all stakeholders
- Deliver the commercial and financial goals of projects, agreeing initial budgets, procurement including competitive tenders from the supply chain and forecasting budgets for financial reporting
- Health and Safety - Ensure project compliance with all health and safety adherence, including strategic meeting and planning of projects, produce RAMs as well as undertaking safety and quality audits
- Build and maintain relationships with our clients and supply chain partners. Provide liaison on design, installation, and commissioning. Attend manufacturers factory acceptance tests
- Inspire and support the in-house design and engineering teams to generate equipment layouts, designs, cable schedules, testing, and commissioning procedures
- Organising the logistics of materials and equipment
- Working across all business function teams and stakeholders proactively provide support and guidance to all parties on compliance with statutory requirements and company standards
- Manage the interface between the businessand client, network operator commissioning and third-party engineers
- Uphold a professional image, contribute to business' success, and proactively improve services and efficiency

Senior Electrical Project Engineer Candidate Specification
- Minimum of 5 years' experience of project management and delivery within the electrical contracting or utility industry & ideally experience in HV Systems
- A proven commitment to the success of the projects you undertake
- An excellent communicator and ambassador of the business at all levels highly confident in managing clients, contractors and third parties supplier relations
- Commercial management of projects and financial forecasting as a minimum between £1-10 Million
- Excellent planning and real ability to 'look ahead', whilst supporting business processes
- Degree, HND in Project Management / Engineering
- Experience of managing large teams
- Strong organisational, time management, IT (MS Office), and report writing skills, with excellent spoken and written English.
- Ability to clearly communicate technical and commercial information, negotiate effectively, and contribute to a dynamic team.
- Adaptable, resilient, proactive, willing to travel across the UK with occasional overnight stays.
- Ideally have obtained or working towards professional registration with the IET at IENG / CENG level
- Holds a full UK driving licence.
- Right to Work within the UK without limitation
Senior Electrical Project Engineer Benefits
