Quantity Surveyor - Data Centre (M&E)
Start Date: April / May 2026
Rotation Basis: 10/4 + Accommodation + Car 


We are partnered with an established market leading M&E Contractor seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support the delivery of a Hyperscale Data Centre projects across Europe. 

This role offers the opportunity to work on large scale projects within the Data Centre sector, supporting an experienced commercial team and working closely with senior Cost Leads. You will gain exposure across key project phases while taking ownership of electrical packages.

Previous data centre experience is not essential, making this a brilliant opportunity for candidates looking to progress into a sector with sustained growth and strong financial backing.

Responsibilities - Quantity Surveyor (M&E) 

  • Support the Lead QS in the commercial management of electrical (LV/MV) packages
  • Take ownership of subcontractor packages from procurement through to final account
  • Prepare, update and maintain CVR's and cost reports
  • Manage subcontractor valuations, variations, and payments
  • Assist with forecasting and financial reporting
  • Ensure effective commercial control across MEP works on site
  • Work closely with site and delivery teams to support programme and cost control
  • Maintain accurate commercial records and ensure contract compliance

Skills and Experience - Quantity Surveyor (M&E) 

  • At least 5 years experience working as a Quantity Surveyor 
  • Experience working for an MEP or electrical subcontractor preferred 
  • Demonstrated experience managing packages through full lifecycle

Strong understanding of:

  • Electrical systems (LV / MV)
  • MEP package delivery
  • Cost reporting and CVRs
  • Final account negotiation

Experience on projects such as:

  • Data centres (desirable, not essential)
  • Pharmaceutical or life sciences
  • Energy or infrastructure
  • Large scale shell & core developments
  • Comfortable working on a rotation basis
  • Comfortable working in a site based environment
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Valid Driving License 
  • Due to project location and mobilisation requirements, must be an EU/EEA/UK passport holder
