Quantity Surveyor - Greater London

Job Description

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Data Centre - Quantity Surveyor to join a UK based company that operates globally as an MEP Construction Managed Service Provider that supports projects from Inception to Handover.

Our client is looking for a Data Centre - Quantity Surveyor to join them on multiple Construction Projects across the South of the UK and Greater London, as well as the EMEA region.

Key responsibilities for this Data Centre - Quantity Surveyor role:

  • Evaluate and Negotiate Contractual and Commercial Risks
  • Conduct full contract surveying duties, including establishing the effect of variations, settlement of accounts, and disputes.
  • Prepare cost value comparison (profit & loss) reports for monthly review.
  • Provide advice on commercial opportunities and savings to the management and project team.
  • Advise, guide, and support on procurement strategies, compiling subcontract orders and material purchase orders.
  • Run weekly cost reports and review with the project managers to highlight variances on each project.
  • Mentor, Lead and Develop a Commercial Team with the support of the Commercial Manager
  • Support internal and external Stakeholders (Clients) to provide regular project updates and attend Client meetings when and where required. 

Experience required for this Data Centre - Quantity Surveyor role:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in MEP / Critical Facility OR Data Centre sectors
  • Strong knowledge of commercial and contractual management. Familiarity with construction processes, building materials, and architectural drawings
  • Experience with FIDIC, and NEC (options A – F) Contracts
  • numerical and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office, Excel, Project, and Word.

Package offered for this Data Centre - Quantity Surveyor role:

  • From £50,000 to £80,000 – determined on experience
  • Pension contributions as statutory (3% and 5%)
  • Bonus (based on individual, company and project performance
