This is a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a well known Tier 1 contractor working on a large water infrastructure programme across the London Region.

The company is a well know Tier 1 contractor who operate nationwide throughout the UK and have a number of Regional offices. Your role as Quantity Surveyor you will joining an award winning business who will be part of the Commercial Team, you will be responsible for managing and mentoring Assistant Quantity Surveyors and Graduates, in carrying out the administration of the commercial and financial aspects. The role will involve working closely with the delivery team.

Key responsibilities for this Quantity Surveyor role:

As the Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for administering the terms of both the main Contract and the Sub-contracts, raising the need for any early warning notices. You will have a keen eye for detail identifying, keeping an accurate record of works completed (in line with the specification) notifying and pricing of variations.
You will be required to produce or support the production of CVRs and P&L reports. You will also manage subcontractors from tender inquiries to final accounts, review subcontract quotations and be involved in placing subcontract orders.
Assessing and paying subcontract applications, preparing applications for payment for assigned work packages.
You will be checking time-sheets and staff allocations for different work packages, agreeing accounts with clients and subcontractors.

Experience required for this Quantity Surveyor role:
- Experience in the water and waste industry is preferable.
- Preferably degree qualified in a related area, such as Quantity Surveying or equal experience in the same field.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and work with staff at all levels.
- Able to react to constant changing workloads.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- A proactive person with a disposition to take action pre-emptively to manage risk and opportunity.
