Location: Watford / Hybrid

Quality Manager Summary

A leading tier 1 contractor in the civil engineering and infrastructure sectors is looking to recruit a Business Quality Manager to join them to set up and lead quality strategy and culture across our business.

Based out offices in Watford, the Business Quality Manager will be responsible for providing support to our projects and monitoring quality performance across our business.

Role is based in Watford, but some site visits will be needed as will be covering projects between Rotherham and Exeter. (Travel expenses and any overnight stays will be covered)

Initially office based but after a period of settling in will be expected in the office at least once a week with the rest at home or on sate.

Duties for the Quality Manager role

- Set up and lead the Business Quality Strategy and Culture
- Manage divisional Quality procedures, ensuring these are adhered to across projects which include Highways, Rail, Local Authorities etc.
- Provide advice and and support for Quality Managers
- Develop our quality team, working with our Project Leads to identify individuals and provide a learning pathway for Quality
- Looking at performance data and where it need improvement
- Developing the Quality Community across the company
- Continue developing and delivering Quality Training for operational teams across the business
- Digital delivery standards and expectations
- Manage the Quality Audit Programme
- Act as interim Quality Manager on the mobilisation of projects as and when required
- Help with investigations for larger quality issues
- Build long lasting relationships with our suppliers and clients
- Act as the representative for Taylor Woodrow's best practice database
- Provide bid support to the pre-construction team when required

Quality Manager Specification

- Formal qualification in a construction or Quality related subject
- Quality Engineering background (desirable not essential)
- Extensive experience leading Quality strategy within a construction environment
- Ideally hold Chartered status with the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI) or working towards it (company will support to put candidates through this if needed)

Salary: Circa £65,000 - £75,000 negotiable dependant on experience / chartership and package including car or allowance and clear progression plans to reach Quality Director
