Project Manager (Railway Signalling)

Location: Doncaster or York

Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 plus car / allowance and package

A successful Track and Signalling Engineering contractor specialising in design, installation and Test / commissioning are seeking to appoint an ambitious and committed Project Manager to lead in the delivery of signalling projects in the North of England.

The Project Manager will be responsible for the following:

- Be involved in work winning and business development;
- Lead the bid management process for forthcoming opportunities;
- Develop tender invitations, selecting external specialists necessary to facilitate the achievement of the project;
- Assist in the review of contractual terms and conditions;
- Lead the PM delivery of several multi-disciplinary signalling projects, being accountable for their performance in line with programme schedules and budget restrictions;
- Establish and build relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders;
- Pro vide direction and control to establish and maintain project deliverables;
- Ensure that all safety, quality, cost and programme targets are met, ensuring compliance with all Company policies and procedures;
- Protect business budgetary constraints, maximise change control opportunities and complete client/supplier final account processes;

The successful applicant will possess the following attributes:

- Extensive project management experience with a proven track record in delivering multiple signalling projects in a timely and safe manner;
- Extensive multidisciplinary engineering expertise, with a strong rail signalling background;
- Proven track record in establishing and building relationships with suppliers, client/contractors and internal stakeholders;
- Tier 1 Contractor experience;
- Expertise in programme planning and controls;
- A high level of numeric and analytical ability
- Have the confidence and experience to pro-actively solve problems, think laterally, identify and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications Required:

- A degree Qualification or equivalent;
- Membership of the Association for Project Management or other professional body; and
- Full UK drivers licence.
