Engineering Project Manager
Location: Gloucester
My client has over 30 years' experience of Crane Rail Installations worldwide, working in a variety of sectors including rail, power, ports & harbours, logistics & distribution and cliff railways. They design, supply, install and maintain crane rail systems to a varying customer/client base.
Due to growth within the team and workload, they are on the lookout for a technically minded project manager to join the team and run the installations throughout the UK. The role is predominately office based but with the requirement of regular travel to attend all required site meetings and work sites when needed.
Key responsibilities for this Project Manager role:
- To lead and project manage engineering projects and installations across the UK.
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and relationship building whilst dealing with clients and customers.
- Provide engineering solutions to customer requirements.
- Read and understand technical drawings, raising any queries and ensuring work is completed in line with these.
- Produce Method Statements, Risk Assessments, Quality Plans etc.
- Ensure project deadlines and budgets are met and managed.
Experience required for this Project Manager role:
- Project management of engineering projects / project portfolios.
- Masters or Bachelors degree in Engineering discipline
- Experience of reporting to and building rapport with clients.
- A knowledge and understanding of welding procedures and processes is highly desirable.
- Experience of creating project related documentation.
- AutoCAD 2D or Solidworks drafting skills.
- Previous high-quality preparation of technical documents including writing and producing presentations and reports.
Package offered for this Project Manager role:
- Salary circa £35,000 - £40,000
