Salary: £70,000 - £77,000 plus package

The Opportunity:
My client is a highly successful, established award winning main contractor who are seeking a Project Commercial Manager to work on a large Industrial scheme circa £50m in value based in Northampton. You will have previous experience in running projects between £25m - £50m in value and must have worked for a Main Contractor previously. Industrial experience would be advantageous with this role however not essential.

Project Commercial Manager Duties:
- Align with the Contracts Manager / Project Director and take responsibility for the strategy & execution of the Commercial functions ensuring you maximise quality of service & profitability.
- Ensure that all relevant Company Group & Sector Specific Procedures & Policies are met.
- Ideally 10 years' experience working on fast-track design and build type projects comprising steel frame standalone office accommodation.
- Civils experience would be desirable.
- The applicant would be capable of running all the commercial elements of the project up to value of £25- £50m including s/c procurement, cost control, CVR, Client interface & liaison, managing variations working closely with the Project Manager / Project Director on site.
- Managing a team of 2-3 on site quantity surveyors on site, mentoring and coaching the team and supporting their development.
- Candidate would take the lead on HSEQ for the commercial team.
- Candidate would be site-based reporting to Senior Commercial Manager.
- Experience in tendering and preconstruction would also be beneficial.
