Company Overview
Working for a family-run SME and Principal Contractor and Framework Contractor to Network Rail a whole manner of off-track services, including vegetation management, on-track plant hire, ecological support, civil engineering and fencing.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be experienced in works planning and skilled in people management, as this role will require you to lead, manage and develop a small team of Possession Planners to effectively produce, collate, distribute and brief on SWPs.
This is also a hands-on role, where you'll be required to produce accurate SWP's in line with internal and external standards. You will utilise your excellent communication skills to advise on SSOW requirements at external client planning meetings, developing strong relationships along the way.
You will work closely with our delivery managers and the wider team to ensure all SSOW requirements are understood and met both in the planning stages and when delivering on site.
Essential Experience
- Significant experience of works planning and scheduling within a rail environment
- Sentinel SSOW Planner competency
- In-depth knowledge of Network Rail standards and procedures
- In-depth PPS, GZAC and daytime access planning knowledge
- Sentinel Personal Track Safety (PTS)
- In-depth knowledge of ALO
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively and build relationships
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Flexibility in your approach to work and problem-solving skills
- Full driving licence
Desirable:
- SMSTS/IOSH working safely or similar H&S competence
- Training in people/line management
