As the Planning Director / Senior Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our energy project. You will be responsible for overseeing the planning and scheduling functions, ensuring efficient project delivery, and managing our team of planners. Your ability to interface with clients, navigate the political landscape, and provide strategic leadership will be instrumental in driving the success of this project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize your extensive experience (minimum 10 years) at a tier 1 level to provide expert guidance in project planning and execution.
  • Lead and mentor a team of planners, fostering a culture of excellence and ensuring personnel management is at the forefront of your approach.
  • Engage in significant client interactions, demonstrating your political savviness and building strong, lasting relationships.
  • Employ your deep understanding of project controls, cost management, risk assessment, and opportunity identification to maintain project efficiency and profitability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement strategic planning initiatives.
  • Provide insightful recommendations to executive leadership based on your expertise in project planning and execution.

About You:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience at a tier 1 level in the field of project planning and management.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large teams of planners, with a strong focus on personnel management.
  • Exceptional client interface skills and a keen understanding of political dynamics in project environments.
  • Proficiency in project controls, cost management, risk assessment, and opportunity identification.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead as an experienced planning director, driving projects to successful completion.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's degree preferred).
