Planner

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Freelance Planner to join an exciting rail infrastructure project that intersects with civil engineering works. This role is perfect for someone with experience in both rail projects and civils projects , and looking to apply their planning skills to a multifaceted project.

Essential Requirements:
1. Experience: Proven experience as a planner in rail and civil engineering projects, ideally with a mix of both disciplines.
2. Strong knowledge of planning tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, or similar scheduling software.
3. Understanding of both rail systems (track, structures, stations) and civil engineering works (earthworks, drainage, structural works, utilities).
4. Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results within tight timelines.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a strong ability to liaise with different stakeholders, contractors, and the client.
6. A relevant degree or professional qualification in Civil Engineering, or a related field is desirable but not essential.

A successful planner in this role will have experience on large scale projects, and worked for Tier 1 contractors, and PC's.

This will be a long term freelance role, whereby we are looking for someone who wants to get fully embedded into the team, and take on challenges and more responsibility as time goes on.

The ideal candidate will be based in and around West Yorkshire, due to this location and surrounding areas, is where the majority of sites are, which may require occasional travel.

£400 - £450 Inside IR35
4-5 days on site - Huddersfield
Interviews via Teams or F2F this week/next week
Start date - negotiable for the right person, albeit asap
12 month initial contract
