Our client is looking for a MEP Project Manager to join them on an upcoming Data Centre project which will be on-going for 5+ years.

Day rate:

Budget up to £750 depending on Data Centre experience

Key responsibilities for this MEP Project Manager role:

  • Direct and manage MEP Design and Delivery for a portfolio of projects at varying stages, with a strong focus on those in detailed design.

  • Serve as the primary liaison for Clients, Design Partners, Contractors, and internal teams on all MEP-related issues.

  • Coordinate the integration of Mechanical, Electrical, and Public Health Engineering disciplines.

  • Lead project workshops and design reviews, offering expert advice and ensuring all outputs align with UK building regulations, CIBSE guidance, and recognised sustainability standards such as BREEAM.

  • Track budgets, programmes, and resource allocation, providing clear updates on performance and risks to both internal leadership and external stakeholders.

  • Review and critique technical drawings, specifications, and related design deliverables to maintain quality and accuracy.

  • Contribute to business development by supporting proposal preparation, assisting with bid submissions, and representing the company in client presentations.

Experience required for this MEP Project Manager role:

  • A degree in Building Services, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or another relevant field.

  • Significant experience (5+ years) overseeing MEP design and delivery for construction projects in the UK.

  • In-depth knowledge of UK building practices, regulatory frameworks, and industry benchmarks.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead projects, manage teams, and build strong client relationships.

  • Proficiency with design and coordination tools, including AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), Navisworks, Revizto, and ACC.

  • Professional registration with CIBSE, IMechE, or IET is advantageous but not mandatory.

  • Highly organised, with strong problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication.

  • Background in data centres or mission-critical environments is required.
