Marketing Manager

Location: Derby / Leicester

Salary: Negotiable dependant on level of experience


A leading European supplier for railway electrification are looking to hire an experienced Marketing Manager to join their team in Derby / Leicester.

Main Duties:

- Collaborate with the Head of Marketing and senior management to develop a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with the company's objectives.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation to understand competitor activity and opportunities.
- Work with the Head of Marketing to plan, execute, and evaluate integrated marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital marketing, print media, events, and exhibitions.
- Set-up exhibition stands / seminars / conferences for company events (internal & external)
- Work with the Head of Marketing to design, develop and maintain an annual PR strategy.
- Monitor campaign performance and analyse key metrics to optimize marketing efforts and achieve desired results.
- Develop and maintain a strong brand identity for the company and our services and solutions.
- Ensure consistent brand messaging and visual representation across all marketing materials and touchpoints. Will be required to work with an external agency in certain circumstances.
- Work with the Head of Marketing to design and develop a Digital Marketing Strategy covering all channels to market and best mediums to use.
- Work with the Head of Marketing to map out the varying user journeys for a newly branded website. Input into the overall design, theme and output working alongside an external website design agency and corporate group.
- Build out a digital content calendar. You will be required to work with varying areas of the business in promoting out success stories, latest news updates, safety news, liaise with our Social Values Co-ordinators in the regions to promote company content.

Lead Generation and Conversion:

- Work with Head of Marketing to support in lead generation strategies/marketing framework support (i.e. work with our Regional Directors / Bid Director), in content writing, design and marketing when required.
- Collaborate with teams to develop lead qualification processes at events/exhibitions and ensure smooth handover of leads/contacts.

Marketing Analytics and Reporting:

- Track and analyse marketing performance metrics, including website traffic, conversion rates, and campaign ROI.
- Generate regular reports on marketing activities, highlighting key insights, trends, and recommendations for improvement.
- Utilize data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies, optimize marketing budgets, and drive continuous improvement.
- Any other duties in the best interest of the company.


- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience (4-6 years minimum) in marketing management
- Strong understanding of the full marketing mix, including digital marketing, branding, lead generation, and campaign management.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency in using marketing tools and platforms, such as full Adobe suite, CRM systems, marketing automation software, and analytics tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
