Land Development Planner

Job Description

Our client is a fast growing Development firm specializing in the Residential sector. They are looking to add a Land Development Planner to their ever-growing team, this role will be based out of the main office in Markham being a 100% in-office position.

Responsibilities:

- High level of coordination with the planners and several municipalities for getting the necessary approvals for multiple developments and construction projects
- Intermediate knowledge of the approval process such as Official Plan amendment, Zoning, Draft Plan/Site Plan approval and subdivision registration is necessary
- Completing applications and paperwork for submission to consultants as well as government agencies
- Working in a team environment and making sure that everyone is on the same page and aware of what needs to be done and by whom
- Weekly updates on all projects must be submitted to management

Requirements:

- Must have minimum 2 Years' Land Development experience
- Must have Low/Mid Rise Development experience
- Must have knowledge of the Ontario Planning System, including relevant legislation and the development approval process
- Must have knowledge of Planning Legislation such as Official Plans, Secondary Plans and Zoning By-laws
- Must have proven experience with facilitating conversation with Municipal and Regional approval authorities
- Intermediate knowledge of Google Drive Suite and AutoCAD
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Highly efficient and effective in working in an individual as well as team environment
- Ability to handle a high level of responsibility
- Time management skills, able to prioritize
