Junior Field Service Engineer

Package offered for this Junior Field Service Engineer role:
- Salary: £32,000 per annum
- Location: Nationwide
- Benefits: Overtime available most weeks, on-call rota 1 in 14, with on-call payment, travel, accommodation, and subsistence covered when working away from home, 22 days annual leave plus bank holidays
Key responsibilities for this Junior Field Service Engineer role:
- Assist with depot maintenance, servicing, and repairs on electrical and mechanical rail equipment
- Support senior engineers with troubleshooting and fault diagnosis
- Complete job documentation accurately using a mobile phone or tablet
- Maintain excellent communication with clients and the service office
- Travel to multiple depot locations across the Midlands and South, including working away from home with overnight stays when required
- Follow all health and safety standards and rail industry compliance procedures
Experience required for this Junior Field Service Engineer role:
- Practical hands-on experience in maintenance, electrical, or mechanical work (rail experience desirable but not essential)
- Ability to work independently and follow instructions accurately
- Confident using mobile technology for reporting and job management
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
