Navartis is working in partnership with a well-established environmental and infrastructure consultancy to recruit a Consultant Hydrogeologist. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing geological and permitting team delivering complex, multidisciplinary projects across sectors including waste, minerals, industrial development, and environmental permitting.

Key Responsibilities – Consultant Hydrogeologist
- Undertake detailed hydrogeological, geological and environmental assessments across diverse UK sites
- Plan and supervise complex site investigation works, ensuring compliance with internal and industry standards
- Conduct groundwater, surface water and gas monitoring, using a variety of field testing techniques
- Collate, analyse and manage environmental and geological data for risk assessments and reporting
- Apply specialist modelling software for risk assessments to assess impacts on human health and controlled waters
- Lead and support the preparation of environmental permits, contamination studies and technical reports
- Manage project data quality, review team outputs, and ensure alignment with quality management systems
- Assist in project planning, proposal writing, budgeting, and managing deliverables to time and cost
- Actively support and mentor colleagues, providing training on field methods and technical standards
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and external stakeholders, representing the consultancy professionally
What We’re Looking For in a Consultant Hydrogeologist
- MSc in Hydrogeology or closely related Earth Sciences discipline (desirable)
- BSc, MSci or equivalent in Geology, Earth or Environmental Science
- Member or Fellow of the Geological Society (or working towards professional accreditation)
- Strong fieldwork background, with experience supervising site investigations
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Proficient in environmental and hydrogeological risk assessment models and relevant software
