HGV Fitter - Fleet Maintenance
An opportunity for a experienced HGV Fitter to join the fleet maintenance team of a family-owned specialist sub-contractor. The successful candidate will be responsible for the upkeep of the company fleet of LGV and HGV vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are serviced, maintained and repaired in accordance with Operators License requirements.
The key responsibilities for this HGV Fitter role are:
- Service, maintain, and repair HGV and LGV vehicles and related plant equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety policies and company procedures.
- Carry out routine, servicing and MOT preparation.
- Carry out all repairs in a cost-effective manner.
- Ensure completion of all documentation as required and accurate records are kept.
- Record and report defects, damages, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure that all inspections are carried out within specified time periods.
Experience and knowledge required for this HGV Fitter role are:
- IRTEC certification is essential.
- A good level of knowledge and experience working on HGV's and associated accessories.
- NVQ qualified is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of Safe Load Working Devices.
- HGV license is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to service, diagnose and repair various types of specialist equipment.
