Health, Safety and Quality Manager


This is a great opportunity for an experienced Health, Safety and Quality Manager to join a Tier 1 Telecommunications contractor and ensure safe practices are met throughout the Build and Final Phases of Fibre Network Build and Customer Installations across the UK and Northern Ireland.

The company are an established Fibre Telecommunications company based in Cumbria, and offices in Northern Ireland. Your role as Health, Safety and Quality Manager will give you the opportunity to use your skills and experience to ensure that the company meets SHEQ standards and projects are delivered safely for all teams involved.

Roles and Responsibilities will differ slightly across locations.

Key responsibilities for this Health, Safety and Quality Manager role:

- Create, Renew / Update Accreditation & Documentation against ISO standards.
- Managing a team of Health and Safety Coordinators
- Site Audits across Rural and Urban locations
- Following up Investigations and Audits with Senior teams
- Work closely with the Head of Health and Safety, Local Authorities, Main Client's, and Internal Teams
- Supporting the organisation on the CDM requirements on large scale projects, ensuring requirements are met and sufficient governance completed.
- Reporting on KPIs and HSEQ statistics, identifying trends and advising on action required
- Monitor our sub-contractors and identify key improvement areas.
- Effectively contribute to the delivery of our ISO Integrated Management System.
- Take an active role in supporting operational teams to implement assurance 'systems', supporting both the operational function and the performance and governance.


Requirements for this Health, Safety and Quality Manager role:

- NEBOSH certificate (or equivalent of)
- Experience Developing and Implementing ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001
- Team Management Experience beneficial
- Telecoms, Civils, Utilities and/or Construction experience beneficial
- Street works and Permit Management experience - working with Local Authorities
- Good Communication and Negotiation Skills
- Full UK Driving License


Package offered for this Health, Safety and Quality Manager role:

- Contract Opportunity 3+ months
- Immediate interviews
- £300-£350 per day based on skills and experience
- Immediate Start and Interviews
