HEALTH & SAFETY ADVISOR - West Midlands

Company:            Subcontractor  

Role:                     Health & Safety Advisor  

Salary:                  Circa £50,000 (DOE) plus package

Health & Safety Advisor Opportunity:

Are you a Health and Safety Advisor looking for a new opportunity? My client is a subcontractor with a head office in the West Midlands. They are a family owned business who has been very successful in winning a lot of long term valuable contracts all around the West Midlands.

Due to an increase in workload, they are now seeking a Health & Safety Advisor. The successful candidate will take responsibility for providing support, guidance and management of health & safety, environmental and quality management across their Midlands based projects. You will also contribute to the development and implementation of strategic health and safety systems within the business, whilst ensuring the company complies with its health and safety duties.

The Company:

The company has long term contracts with facilities management companies,  local councils, and framework agreements. Works include but are not limited to re-configurations of properties, groundworks and drainage, disabled adaptations, kitchen and bathroom install, refurbishment and repairs, carpentry works

Essential Experience for Health & Safety Advisor role:

Typically, 5+ years of working in a health and safety role in the construction or civil engineering  industry.

Experience of Health, safety and environmental legislation and its application.

Detailed understanding of construction methods and techniques

High level of communication skills

Essential Qualifications for Health & Safety role:

 Minimum Tech IOSH

Desired Qualifications:

Grad IOSH or above preferred

NEBOSH
