Head of Commercial 

Summary

A rapidly expanding and innovative company who provide a broad range of specialist services to  the UK's leading main contractors and utility companies within the water, oil & gas industries is looking to take on an experienced Commercial management professional to join their business as their Head of Commercial .

The company is a rapidly expanding, innovative company who provide tunnelling solutions including:- Guided/Unguided Auger Boring Pipe jacking Box Jacking Shaft Sinking (Caisson, Bolted or Sheet Piles) Timber Headings Pipe Bursting HDD Slip Lining Moling Temporary Works Design Specialist Labour Supply Specialist Plant Hire

As Head of Commercial you will:

  • Be responsible for driving company growth, revenue, and profitability by leading sales, marketing, and business development strategies
  • Produce management accounts, managing cash flow, overseeing statutory accounts, and ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Oversee CVRs, forecasting, cash flow and financial reporting
  • Support bid strategy, pricing and contract negotiations
  • Develop and improve commercial processes and controls
  • Act as senior commercial interface with clients and stakeholders

To be suitable for this Head of Commercial role you will have:

  • Proven experience in a similar role in civil engineering or construction (tunnelling experience desirable)
  • Strong commercial acumen and client-facing skills

  • Strong understanding of project financial strategy and risk management

  • Ensure strong contract management across NEC forms of contract

  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a Commercial related subject (desirable)

Salary / Package 

Upwards of £80,000 Negotiable dependant on experience plus competitive package including car allowance.
