A growing and well-regarded housebuilder is looking to appoint an Engineer to join their Technical team in Sheffield. Working across a range of high-volume, traditionally built housing developments, this role offers an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their career in a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The ideal candidate will have experience in residential development, preferably with a housebuilder or engineering consultancy, and a sound understanding of infrastructure and housing layout design. You'll be involved in both office and site-based responsibilities, supporting projects from feasibility through to completion.

Responsibilities of the Engineer
Assist in preparing and reviewing engineering designs for foundations, roads, sewers, and utilities
Support the coordination of consultants and technical approvals (S38, S104, S278)
Liaise with local authorities and utility providers to ensure timely approvals
Provide technical input across departments and assist with resolving site-based engineering issues
Help manage the adoption process and support junior members of the team where appropriate

Requirements of the Engineer
HNC/HND or degree in Civil Engineering or related field
Previous experience with a housebuilder or consultancy working on residential schemes
Working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and Section Agreements
Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach
Proficient in AutoCAD (knowledge of Civil 3D or MicroDrainage is a bonus)
