EHS Lead - Limerick

Job Description

  • Our client is looking for an experienced EHS Lead for a Site Based role on a Large-Scale Pharmaceutical Project in Limerick. This is a permanent position within the company.

    Key responsibilities for this EHS Lead Role:

    • Oversee the EHS system to ensure full implementation across the whole project.
    • Maintain and hold responsibility for auditing and maintaining the Company’s Integrated Management System (IMS) by applying auditing standards, procedures, principles, and techniques
    • Management of the EHS Management System on-site to adhere to regulations, corporate policies, and ISO 45001/ISO 14001 standards.
    • Working with site management, subcontractors, and direct personnel to foster a healthy H&S culture on the job site while being able to inspire and motivate them to achieve their objectives.
    • Track on-site EHS compliance and produce weekly inspections & reports.
    • Create, improve, and execute effective site EHS processes that ensure compliance with legal and environmental safety requirements.
    • Upkeep and updating of relevant EHS plans and papers on-site, such as the H&S Plan, Environmental Plan, SWMP, etc.
    • Create and complete risk assessments and method statements in collaboration with the site team.

    Experience required for this EHS Lead role:

    • A recognised Health & Safety Degree/Diploma
    • Must have main contractor experience, ideally at least 5 years but minimum of 3 years.
    • Must have experience of working on hi-tech projects where the client expects very high HSE standards such as Pharma/Data Centre.
    • Experience with ISO is preferable.
    • Strong IT skills specifically with MS Office software
    • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

    Salary for this EHS Lead role is between €75,000 - €90,000 DOE

    (Negotiable dependent upon experience), bonus scheme, car allowance, plus further additional benefits
