We have a current opportunity for a Designated Project Engineer specialising in HV on a contract basis for a Consultancy who provide creative and effective engineering solutions across the infrastructure sector, both in the UK and abroad.

The key purpose of this role is to deliver innovative designs with a tier 1 client, the job holder is responsible for the HV designs on a massive rail/infrastructure Project.

Some Key responsibilities of the role are (Full JD can be sent) -

Ensure that staff are competent and, where necessary, licenced to undertake the level of engineering required on the programme, including discipline specific Responsible Engineers Recruit, train and mentor staff within their area of professional excellence to meet the competency requirements identified by the Technical Directors
Ensure that the work package has defined competency requirements
Lead on the Engineering management of individual multi-disciplinary work packages within the programme
Monitor and ensure continuous improvement of the performance of REs within the programme

The below are essential for a successful performance in the role - again full list will be sent if applicant interested -

MUST of worked with 650V previously and have a wealth of experience.
Proven track record in the delivery of specific engineering service line with an innovative approach to solving client problems
Proven track record in the training, mentoring and development of staff to achieve appropriate professional qualifications and career ambitions
Significant experience in area of expertise with experience in the relevant sector in a senior position
Experience of working in a design and construction environment
Experience in understanding, interpreting and communicating the technical requirements of our Contracts and in particular specifications and appropriate standards.
Experience in the application of systems engineering processes within the rail environment
