This is a great opportunity for an experienced Design Coordinator to join a well known contactor working within the water industry.

The company is an award winning contractor who operate nationwide throughout the UK and have a number of Regional offices. Your role as Design Coordinator you will joining their growing water and wastewater business in the UK. As a Design Coordinator you will be responsible for supporting the Design Manager to coordinate the design outputs within a multi-discipline team across the Project or Projects assigned to you from resourcing, technical and timely prospective ensuring compliance with company procedures and Client specification

Key responsibilities for this Design Coordinator role:
- Understanding and agree the clients project requirements
- Agreeing levels of resource against the programme
- Track and monitor design outputs against design deliverables and project programme
- Track and monitor design expenditure against cost allowance
- Produce monthly progress reports
- Review and collate documents & drawings for both internal governance and client acceptance through the gateway processes
- Identification of requirements for design of temporary works
- Monitor and Track change control
- Site Visits as required
- Agreeing levels of resource against the programme
- Ensuring production of all documentation required to manage the project in line with CDM requirements
- Compilation of Weekly / monthly reports as dictated by the project
- Monitoring of design outputs against the design deliverable schedule including remedial cause of action as required.
- Confirming that all regularity standards are adhered to
- Technical governance and sign off is adhered to
- Chair Design meetings
- Contribute to the production of the design cost for individual schemes
- Coordinate the design engineers across all disciplines
- Ensure that Principal Designer duties are administered and discharged in line with CDM 2015
- Develop and update the Design Management Plan.
- Producing design briefs, incorporating the requirements of all the project needs, including Mechanical, Electrical and Civil interface
- Producing and reviewing sub-contractor enquiry documents to enable all design to be incorporated
- Ensure all disciplines design are incorporated into the 3D model
- Report and gain approval for change


Experience required for this Design Coordinator role:
- 10 years demonstrated Design Experience
- Experience of managing multidiscipline teams
- Experience of managing Multiple small projects or single larger projects
- Industry applicable ONC/HNC/B Eng or NVQ Equivalent.
- Principle Designer Status
- Chartered Engineer preferred or working towards chartership
- An organiser who can coordinate on multiple fronts
- Structured thinker
- Client-focussed
- Facilitator of innovative thought and ideas
- Strong leadership qualities
- Commercial & Contractual Awareness
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong team player but also able to work as an individual
- Ability to prioritise a varied workload and demonstrate good time management to comply with deadlines
- Able to work in a busy environment under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Possess a "can do" attitude who can provide support to other members of the team as required



Package offered for this Design Coordinator role:

- Basic Salary up to £50k-£60k depending on experience, could potentially be negotiable
