Role Overview:

As a Cyber Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in safeguarding their systems by identifying, investigating, and mitigating security threats. This role is central to developing and maintaining a strong security posture, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of their network services.

Key Responsibilities for this Cyber Security Analyst role:

  1. Monitor Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) tools to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  2. Conduct thorough security incident investigations, providing detailed analysis and recommendations for mitigation.
  3. Manage the vulnerability management programme to identify, assess, and remediate vulnerabilities.
  4. Coordinate the penetration testing programme, including the selection of vendors, scope definition, and remediation of findings.
  5. Collaborate with various stakeholders to enhance the cyber security awareness and culture within the organisation.
  6. Continuously update, test and improve the cyber defence procedures and incident response plan.
  7. Provide regular reports to the Director of Cyber Security regarding the security posture and incidents.

Qualifications and Experience for this Cyber Security Analyst role:

  • Experience in cyber security operations, with telecommunications industry experience a significant benefit.
  • Knowledge of IT and network cyber defensive controls and relevant best practices.
  • Experience working within cyber security frameworks such as ISO 2700x, Cyber Essentials+, and NIST CSF.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex security topics in understandable terms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organisational skills
