Commercial Manager

Summary
One of the UK's largest infrastructure contractors are looking for an experiencedCommercial Manager to join their outstanding Major Projects team working on a £1 billion station delivery project in North West London,
Upon completion, the new station will boast six underground platforms and up to eight platforms, it will also provide highspeed rail services to the Midlands, central London, Scotland, and the North, as well as direct services to three major airports. Incorporating passenger and retail facilities, the new station will provide an exceptional customer experience for both passengers and visitors to the station.
As a Commercial Manager, you will be accountable for:
- All duties required by the commercial department or project team, to ensure successful setup and running of Project
- Supporting the Commercial Management of the Works Packages
- Providing commercial input to the Operations Team
- Supporting the review tenders & cost data.
- Managing the preparation of the monthly CVR and associated commercial reports.
- Ensuring that necessary interface information between customer, sub-contractors and other departments is provided in a timely manner
- Monitoring cash flow and valuation plan, ensuring applications are made correctly and in a timely manner
- Application of legislation and ability to liaise with legal experts
- Management and reporting of Commercial Risk and Opportunity
- Management of disallowed cost
- Determine project commercial staff requirement & liaison with HR for recruitment including temporary staff
Criteria for this Managing Quantity Surveyor role
- Strong experience in Quantity Surveying / Commercial Management in a similar role.
- Main Contractor experience (Desirable)
- Valid CSCS card (Essential)
- BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent
- Membership of a relevant professional body and/or relevant professional qualification is desirable, such as RICS/CIOB/RIBA/ICE/CIBSE.
- NEC Experience (Essential)
- Sound working knowledge of construction and contract law and various forms of Conditions of Contract
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of tendering and procurement processes
- Eligibility to work and live permanently in the UK (essential)
Salary: £85,000 - £90,000 dependant on level of experience plus package including
- Car / Car Allowance
