Commercial Manager
Location: Hybrid with Occasional Travel to Manchester or Liverpool Office
Salary: £80,000 - 90,000 DOE plus benefits including:

As a Commercial Manager, you'll oversee the commercial strategy and performance of multiple rail infrastructure schemes across the North West. You'll work closely with clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to manage costs, contracts, risk, and procurement - ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and to the highest quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage commercial activities across multiple rail projects (typically NEC3/4 contracts)
- Support pre- and post-contract cost planning and control
- Provide strategic commercial input to tenders, bids, and business cases
- Administer contracts and ensure compliance with client requirements
- Manage change control, valuations, and final accounts
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients and stakeholders
- Mentor junior commercial staff and contribute to knowledge sharing across the team
About You
- Proven experience in a commercial or quantity surveying role in the UK rail or infrastructure sector
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts and public sector procurement
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Professionally qualified (RICS, ICE, ACostE, or equivalent) or working towards
- Excellent commercial acumen, negotiation, and communication skills
