Company Information:
We have a current opportunity for an Administrator on a permanent basis to join one of my key clients who are expanding massively, a very exciting time to join them.
The company is set up into two divisions; their rail depot and fleet business, and the construction side, where they work on various rail depots including M&E, walkways etc.
This company is massively expanding, They are working on various depot redevelopment projects ranging in value up to £3M. However, they have an exciting potential upcoming project which will be valuing at circa £35M.
There is plenty of scope to grow, and develop within your career, which can lead to more senior positions in the future.
The Role:
-Assist in the coordination of projects undertaken by the client to ensure that all are correctly resourced and that no resource conflicts occur
-Assist to ensure all design, technical and construction deliverables are produced in a timely manner and to a consistently high quality as expected by the client.
-Assist in the production of weekly staff rosters to cover all projects and ensure that all resources are allocated, all logistical issues covered and only staff that are trained and certificated can be allocated for each specific task.
-Monitor progress of all remitted projects to ensure change is appropriately managed/measured, and where necessary, reported in a timely manner (to both SPL Powerlines and the Client).
-Assist in the co-ordination of all projects undertaken by my client
-Monitor progress of all projects to ensure that all commercial issues are addressed in line with the contract value / cost to completion (in liaison with the Construction Manager)
-Meet and communicate with client's representatives (Project Managers, Engineers, purchasers etc.) to ensure projects are delivered to meet their requirements from tender to final handover (in liaison with Construction Manager)
-Ensure that up to date records of individual projects are maintained and are available for audit purpose (in liaison with construction manager)
- Undertake periodic site audits and safety inspections when clients staff are engaged on site duties
-Provide out of hours/emergency support on projects as required by the client and Directors
-Role to be based both in the office and a requirement to work on site on various shifts to review the activities and update site documentation accordingly.
To be suitable for the position you must have;
-Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a similar role working as an assistant Project Manager within a rail or civils company.
-Knowledgeable in rail, project requirements and an awareness of processes and requirements.
-Full UK Driving License and a willingness to travel for work to different offices and site locations.
-Valid PTS competencies required
-The ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
-Experience dealing with the client, both internal and external customers.
