Location:

Doncaster  or York with Hybrid working

Salary / Benefits:

£28,000 - £35,000 - and package including

- Car allowance / car - £5500
- Contributary pension scheme

Summary

An established and experienced railway infrastructure contractor is looking to take on an Assistant Project Manager to join their Railway Signalling & Power team and work on a wide variety of rail-based development and construction projects whilst following structured development plan to enable progression to Project Management role.

As an Assistant Project Manager you will be responsible for:

- Assisting in the management of Network Rail and rail related infrastructure contracts
- Liaise with Client personnel and attend Client progress meetings as appropriate.
- Maintain and develop client relationships
- Liaise with the Project management teams across the business & Framework.
- Liaise with PMs, WDMs and commercial team to review estimate submissions and final account details
- Prepare and implement Site specific management plans to ensure Site activities comply with Health and Safety standards,
- Provide support to Contract Manager and Project Managers across each discipline of the Framework
- Lead and implement professional safety behaviour and culture throughout the business,

Seeking Candidates with the below experience

- Relevant experience in the UK Rail industry on Network rail projects
- PTS / SMSTS
- Experience in scheduling and tracking activity against a project plan
- Ability to work unsupervised and manage own workload

Desirable

- Ideally working towards chartership with Association of Project Managers or equivalent organisation
- A minimum HND or degree in a relevant subject ie. Civil Engineering/Construction Management, Telecoms or Electrical Engineering.
