Assistant Design Manager - Main Contractor

Salary: Up to £45,000 + Package
I'm working with a reputable main contractor in the North West that's looking to add an Assistant Design Manager to their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with 1-3 years' experience in design coordination or architectural/technical support looking to step into a main contracting environment.
You'll support senior design and project managers in coordinating design information across a range of live and preconstruction projects in sectors such as education, residential, commercial, and healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing design documentation and consultant coordination
- Support the review of drawings, specifications, and technical submissions
- Help monitor design progress and ensure alignment with programme and budgets
- Contribute to buildability reviews and design risk assessments
- Liaise with internal departments, subcontractors, and design consultants
Ideal Candidate:
- 1-3 years' experience in a construction or design-related role
- Background with a main contractor, developer, or design consultancy
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a structured team environment
