​What is a Sub Agent?

A Sub Agent is responsible for the management or assisting the Site Agent or Project Manager on Construction projects and schemes, in order to achieve required project delivery to the objectives, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.

What are the typical duties and activities for a Sub Agent?

From employer to employer the job description of a Sub Agent will vary, however typical duties and activities undertaken include:

  • Maintain commercial performance of the contract

  • Be responsible for the successful delivery of projects

  • Produce and manage the project programme and supervise the delivery of it

  • Comply with Company procedures and legal obligations at all times, promoting best practice

  • Maximise project value and maintain commercial tension to drive out cost

  • Deal with any actual or potential problems with resources promptly

New University of Northampton student accommodation was completed at the start of 2014, bringing 460 students into the town centre. The project was promoted by Northampton Borough Council to bring new jobs and investment to the town centre. It is located within the Northampton Waterside Enterprise Zone and is, in conjunction with other projects, helping regenerate that part of Northampton.
