​What is a Site Agent?

The role of a Site Agent is to manage the construction site to ensure the project is delivered and objectives are met, while maintaining standards of health and safety, quality, environmental impact and cost control.

Key skills to be successful as a Site Agent will include:

  • Stakeholder’s management

  • The ability to identify and assess contract risks

What are the typical daily duties for a Site Agent?

From employer to employer the job description of a Site Agent can vary, however typical duties and activities undertaken include:

  • Managing all aspects of site projects

  • Striving to exceed customers’ expectations and deliver an outstanding level of service

  • Co-ordinating and supervising site based activities

  • Ensuring that all health and safety, as well as quality and environmental procedures are adhered to

  • Identifying the resources required to successfully complete projects in a timely manner, including labour, plant materials and subcontractor

After being given the go-ahead by Cambridge City Council, Construction of the facility, which will cost more than £500million to build in the heart of the Cambridge Biomedical Campus, began in spring 2015. Due to the company being a world leader in researching and manufacturing a range of drugs, this move is expected to bring new jobs and opportunities to the area.

Cambridge South station

Due to be completed in 2022, situated near Addenbrooke’s Hospital, this project will provide access to a major employment site that will support new homes and 16,000 existing and 7,000 new jobs.
