What is a Back End Engineer?

A Back-End Engineer (or Back-End Developer) is responsible for managing and building the server-side of web applications, which involves handling data, server logic, databases, and application programming interfaces (APIs). While Front-End Engineers focus on the user interface and experience, Back-End Engineers ensure that the server, database, and application are functioning efficiently behind the scenes.

A Back-End Engineer ensures the smooth operation of a website or application behind the scenes. Their work revolves around building and maintaining the server, database, and APIs that support front-end interactions, ensuring that data is managed, transferred, and secured effectively. They play a crucial role in making sure the application is scalable, performant, and ready for deployment at scale.
