Job Title : Senior Systems Engineer (Verification and Validation)
Location : West Coast but predominantly home based (occasional client site visits)
Salary : $170,000 - $200,000

About the company:
Our client are specialists in the technical delivery for major high-speed and electrified transit systems. Their technical expertise include the construction and maintenance of track, traction power, 25kV OCS, SCADA and comms, train control and substations (AC&DC).
About the role of a Senior Systems Engineer (Verification and Validation):
- Development and/or execution of System V&V plans, System validation test plans
- Development and/or validation review of test procedures from system integration requirements
- The assurance of accurate and complete tracking of validation testing defects, using standard database tools
- Support the team by completing the validation portions of Hazard Log, Design Conformance Checklists, and Construction Conformance Checklists
- Complete System/Subsystem requirements specifications and validation.
Requirements for the role:
- 4-10 years of experience working in Systems Engineering with exposure to verification / validation (does not have to be rail/transit background)
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering on construction / delivery projects
- Strong understanding and experience with IBM DOORS
- Ability to define and execute the test procedures to validate the system requirements and interfaces
