Our client is a multi-disciplinary building consulting firm located in the Ottawa area and they are looking for a Structural CAD Designer to join their team. The Structural CAD Designer will have the opportunity to work on multiple projects including commercial, residential homes, healthcare and institutional. Experience for the Structural CAD Designer:
- 0-2 years of relevant experience, including previous internship experience in the construction field is considered an asset.
- Previous experience in a structural engineering firm is considered an asset.
- Working knowledge of structural design in steel, concrete and wood.
- Prior work experience with heritage structures, temporary works, steel detailing and/or construction engineering projects considered a strong asset
Skills of the Structural CAD Designer:
- Ability to conceptualize design with an understanding of constructability.
- Strong attention to detail and produce high quality output.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
- Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build strong working relationships with all team members and stakeholders.
