Location: Edinburgh

Salary: £38,000 - £55,000 - Negotiable dependant on experience plus package including;

Summary

An award winning international professional services company in the design and consulting industry is looking to are looking to appoint a Senior or Principal Wastewater Modeller to join their specialist modelling team working with major regulated water companies across the UK & Ireland

As part of a multidisciplinary service, you would be engaging with projects from conception through to delivery, driving innovation & excellence

Along with an exciting portfolio of work, the team are also at the forefront of developing digital solutions & smart applications, led by industry recognised specialists

You will be working as part of an interdisciplinary team made up of 80 personnel across 8 UK offices along with our clients and consultant/contractor partners, collaborating to deliver projects throughout the UK & Ireland.

This is a great opportunity to join an ambitious and innovative team of engineers, working on a specialist modelling framework whilst contributing to industry leading projects.

The Role

- You will provide guidance, training, and promote staff development and wellbeing within the discipline.
- You will assist with bids and the preparation of cost estimates within our project frameworks.
- The role will involve taking part in the planning, programming, and coordinating of urban drainage projects while ensuring delivery excellence, technical governance and best practices are upheld.
- The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills through report writing, developing and delivering presentations (external and internal), and making contacts in the industry. The successful candidate will have experience in the management and development of staff as well as the ability to integrate well into a team and provide technical leadership to other modelling staff as a leader in an urban drainage environment with an excellent client service focus.

About You

To be considered for this opportunity you must be:

- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, or other relevant subject,
- A member of an industry relevant institution e.g. ICE, CIWEM.
- Previous experience leading projects in an urban drainage environment.
- Able to demonstrate technical experience covering a wide range of urban drainage modelling activities and a full working knowledge of InfoWorks ICM.
- Competent in the management and development of staff as well as the ability to integrate well into a team and provide technical leadership to other modelling staff as a leader in an urban drainage environment with an excellent client service focus.
