**Job Summary:**
As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at our client, you will play a crucial role in the successful execution of geotechnical projects, contributing your technical expertise, leadership, and problem-solving skills. You will be responsible for leading geotechnical assessments, providing strategic recommendations, and overseeing the design and implementation of geotechnical solutions that meet our clients' needs and exceed industry standards.

**Responsibilities:**
- **Project Leadership:** Lead and manage geotechnical projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project goals, scope, budget, and schedule.
- **Geotechnical Analysis:** Conduct geotechnical investigations, including site characterization, soil and rock testing, and field assessments, to gather essential data for project planning and design.
- **Design Development:** Develop innovative and sustainable geotechnical design solutions for foundations, retaining structures, slopes, excavations, and other geotechnical elements, using appropriate software and engineering principles.
- **Technical Expertise:** Provide expert geotechnical advice, mentoring, and guidance to junior engineers and project teams, facilitating knowledge transfer and skill development.
- **Risk Assessment:** Perform geotechnical risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential hazards or challenges during construction and operation.
- **Client Collaboration:** Collaborate closely with clients, architects, structural engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements, communicate technical concepts, and ensure alignment of geotechnical design with overall project objectives.
- **Quality Assurance:** Implement rigorous quality control procedures to verify accuracy and integrity of geotechnical data, analyses, and design documents.
- **Regulatory Compliance:** Ensure compliance with local geotechnical regulations, codes, and standards, and facilitate the permitting process as required.
- **Continuous Learning:** Stay abreast of industry developments, new technologies, and best practices in geotechnical engineering, and incorporate them into project work and team knowledge.
- **Business Development:** Contribute to business development efforts by participating in proposal preparation, client presentations, and cultivating client relationships.

**Qualifications:**
- Master's or Ph.D. degree in Geotechnical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of [X] years of professional experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong background in analysis, design, and project management.
- Proficiency in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio) and other relevant engineering tools.
- Sound understanding of soil mechanics, rock mechanics, and geotechnical design principles.

- Excellent communication skills in both German and English, both written and verbal.

- Professional Engineering (PE) licensure or equivalent is preferred.
