We have a current opportunity for a Senior Buyer on a permanent basis.
Location:
Warrington
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 plus car or car allowance
The role:
As a Senior Buyer, you will be required to provide a full range of cost control, forecasting and financial reporting duties and work closely with the wider Commercial team.
You will be responsible for:
- The performance of the sites you are looking after
- Leading the pre-start meetings
- Agree the price specification with manufacturers of key suppliers, preparing the CPC1
(Material Costs) including providing material schedules from working drawings
- Place material orders and procure additional materials not covered by schedules and place
supplementary orders, analysing any variations
- Produce cost reports and provide analysis of material costs for completion, actioning material
and plant invoices
Requirements:
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role
- Knowledgeable in all areas of purchasing procedures, construction techniques and mixed-tenure schemes
