Mechanical Section Engineer

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Section Engineer to join a main contractor and work on an exciting tunnelling project in London with a value of £4+ billion.

The company is a growing main contractor with a proven track record within the Civil Engineering and Construction nationwide. Your role as Mechanical Section Engineer will be working as the Secondary Lining Section Engineer supervising the shift work.

Key responsibilities for this role:

  •  Provide professional & technical support to the project team and the staff under your leadership.
  •  Manage and ensure compliance with all Safety, Health, Environmental & Quality (SHEQ) issues on site.
  • Act as the Emergency Person in Charge (PIC) for the shift where required.
  • Manage and control your section of the work according to agreed programmes, approved RAMS and ITP’s ensuring relevant QAQC records are taken and processed.
  • Ensure all materials and equipment for the works are available – planning ahead to ensure uninterrupted works in the tunnel.

Experience required for this role:

  • Degree or equivalent level qualification in Mechanical works, Civil engineering, Mining or Tunnelling,
  • At least 3 years in the role of Section Engineer, SMSTS card

  Package available for this role:

  • £350/400 p/d
