They are looking for a motivated Junior Health & Safety Advisor to join their team on a project based in Offaly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify site specific hazards and ensure they’re addressed in a timely manner
  • Carry out site safety inspections and conduct accident, incident & near miss investigations
  • Carry out Risk Assessments & complete Method Statements
  • Contribute to the Toolbox talk topics, discussion & delivery
  • Liaise with Site Managers to ensure Health & Safety documentation complete and up to date.
  • Conduct training for new and existing employees. 
  • Always seek to improve the standard of Health & Safety in a practical manner within the company management system and on specific sites.
  • Identify site specific hazards and ensure they are addressed in the site documentation and in a practical manner on the site.
  • Ensure clear lines of communication are maintained to the H&S Manager.
  • Ensure the site folders and statutory records are being maintained on site.
  • Ensure strict adherence to site rules by all contractors.
  • Assist site management to comply with statutory H&S requirements.
  • Assist Health & Safety Manager to develop and implement risk assessment

Key Requirements

  • 3rd level qualification in Health & Safety or Member of IOSH
  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role is desirable
  • Residential/ commercial construction experience
  • Ability to assist on-site managers with all health, safety, and environmental matters, using their own initiatives.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
  • Ability to work on their own initiative.

Package offered

  • Starting salary ranging from €40,000 - €45,000, DOE
  • 23 days annual leave
