Location: Midlands / Site:

Salary / Package: £45,000 - £60,000 dependant on level of experience plus package including flexible working, healthcare and an employee perk programme.

Summary

An award winning SME consultancy that has a vast experience in the delivery and development of specialised services to the railway industry are looking to take on a number Project Managers to join the business to help meet their growing project demand and take the opportunity to shape the business and their role as they develop, grow and win awards

Open to candidates who are starting out on their project management journey or established Project Managers wanting to develop within a growing business.

Job Role / Accountabilities

Working alongside clients such as HS2 Ltd, BAM Nuttall, Morgan Sindall, Ferrovial and VVB you will be accountable for delivery of a range of varied complexity projects and be accountable for the below;

- Supporting the project Client Management in preparing and maintaining definitions of the project requirements.
- Managing multi-disciplinary teams including commercial, programme controls, engineering, and others to identify solutions to client requirements and establish a robust baseline plan.
- Identifying and monitoring project risks (threats and opportunities), plan and implement mitigations to them, and respond to other issues that affect the project.
- Implementing and updating resource allocation plans needed for delivery of the project including identification and management of critical resource requirements. Secure resources needed for projects from internal and external sources.
- Managing stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests.
- Managing project reviews at appropriate points throughout the project lifecycle which will inform governance decisions of projects by providing evaluations of progress, performance, risk, contingency, and continuing relevance.
- Establishing and implementing where necessary, protocols to change the scope of projects and updating configuration documents as required.

Skills, experience and qualifications

Essential

- Expertise having delivered projects on-the-ground to GRIP or RIBA processes.
- Understanding of railway safety requirements including Delivering Work Within Possessions regulations.
- Experience in managing procurement processes and contracts for suppliers on behalf of our Clients to NEC contracts or similar.

Desirable

- Railway experience in a Train Operator Company (TOC) or multi-stakeholder environment.
- Membership (or working towards) the Association of Project Management membership.
- Degree/HND/HNC level qualified in a relevant discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience.
