About the Role
As Site Manager you will be responsible for leading the delivery of gas infrastructure works across major projects in Yorkshire. You will oversee site activities, manage subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered safely, to programme, and to the highest standards of quality. This is a leadership role that requires strong operational management, stakeholder coordination, and the ability to drive performance across site teams.
The Project value is in excess of £50Million and an integral part of the companies future clean air plans through purifying water, removing toxins to ensuring that all waste material has no further negative effects on the communities which surround the processing plant for generations to come.

The key requirements for this Site Manager role are:
- Manage day-to-day operations on major gas infrastructure projects
- Lead site teams and subcontractors to deliver works on time and within budget
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations at all times
- Monitor progress against programme and report risks to the Project Manager
- Oversee quality assurance and ensure works meet client and industry standards
- Manage permits, site documentation and method statements
- Support client liaison and stakeholder engagement
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement and safety leadership

Experience required for this Site Manager role are:
- Proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Agent in utilities or infrastructure projects
- Strong background in gas, pipelines, or related energy sector works
- Excellent understanding of health and safety management on live sites
- Demonstrated ability to manage subcontractors, budgets and programmes
- IT literate with reporting and project management tools
- Full UK driving licence

Desirable knowledge, skills and experience for this Site Manager role are:
- Previous experience working with a gas distribution network operator (e.g. SGN, Cadent, Northern Gas)
- SMSTS or equivalent site management qualification
- Knowledge of NEC contracts and client reporting requirements
- Stakeholder engagement and client-facing skills
