Senior Project Manager / Contracts Manager

Flood Alleviation Scheme - Lowestoft
Contract: 12 months (initial) | Outside IR35 | Long-term opportunity

 

We are currently supporting our valued client in the search for an experienced Senior Project Manager or Contracts Manager to join a major Flood Alleviation Scheme in Lowestoft.

This is a high-profile civil engineering project involving the construction of a new pumping station designed to prevent flooding in the local area. The works include significant civils and earthworks activity.

Although the initial contract is 12 months, there is approximately 2 years' worth of work, and this is expected to be a challenging job requiring someone highly capable and switched on.

Responsibilities

  • Overall management of the flood alleviation works, including the pumping station build
  • Managing NEC contracts and ensuring compliance
  • Coordinating civils and earthworks activities
  • Working closely with stakeholders, contractors, and the client team
  • Driving programme, cost, quality, and safety on a challenging scheme

Experience Required

  • Proven experience as a Senior Project Manager or Contracts Manager on civils projects
  • Strong NEC contract experience (essential)
  • Background in flood alleviation, pumping stations, or heavy civils
  • Solid understanding of earthworks and infrastructure projects
  • Able to operate autonomously in a demanding environment

This role would suit someone who enjoys technically challenging infrastructure work and is comfortable taking ownership of a complex scheme from site-based delivery through to completion.
